Note the double-sided printing – surfaces of text, surfaces of image. This horizontal sports poster shows three players on a soccer field. The goalie has captured the soccer ball in the image as the other members try to determine his action. You can see the crowd in the stadium watching this tournament. Somms supplied sports supplies and also promoted various soccer sporting events in the 1920s. Very little is available about the company and dates are gleaned from other original soccer posters that they produced.
A smaller size format is suitable for those locations where this size horizontal poster would be required. Great for avid soccer fans or encouragement for your child to continue on the soccer team.
